Better late than never....

posting the March 1, 2012 picture of the Puddle Pond.  Mr. P and I walked down on the 1st and took this picture which if I recall was a cold and dreary day.  Things look brown and dreary which makes sense since we're still on the edge of winter here.

Snow has been almost non-existent here this winter; however, wind has not been.  We've had lots of very windy days which means lots of branch and twig pickup in the yard.  It's fun to watch the weathervane that Only Daughter and her family gave us as a gift years ago, move around on the roof of the garage.

My two walking buddies and I are often bent into the wind as we head out on our walks.  The pleasure is in knowing the wind will be at our backs on the return trip.

Mr. P had these gorgeous red tulips and purple water iris delivered to my workplace for Valentine's Day.  They came with the red vase and were gorgeous lasting almost two full weeks.

The winds kicked up again this afternoon and tomorrow morning's walk promises to be a brisk windy one.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
