Today is our "adopted" cat's 21st birthday. She is a chatty, wonderful little girl. If you've read any of my previous posts on the 5th of May each year, you will know that Chance was originally our son-in-law's cat adopted from an animal shelter during his college days. She took a round-about route to our house and has been with us since August 2008, almost six years now.
Other than the little scare she gave us recently which was diagnosed a a bug, she's in great shape for her age.
One of my co-workers celebrated his 27th birthday today and Chance signed his birthday card inviting him to stop tonight for a beer since she's now of legal age. He got a good laugh. Chance has her usual dinner of fishy canned cat food and a few treats next to her food dish. She had some time sitting with both Mr P and myself to have her chin scratched and get brushed.
