Brittle, brutal cold and snow

Only one week left in the month of February and I'm not sure where it went.  A record low was recorded overnight recently and snow squalls have swept through here every few days.  Schools in the area have typically had two hour delays in the morning because of the freezing temps.
Besides the cold and the snow, my car was recently damaged when a deer ran into it one morning when I left home for work.  The accident killed the deer and while the damage didn't look extensive, the bill was not small.  It's like new again but I'll be on guard until it's no longer dark when I leave for work in the morning.
The firewood on the front porch is being depleted with all this cold weather and the YakTrax (best $20 I spent) have been appreciated when navigating the driveway whether to gather the newspaper, pick up the mail or just plain keep it clear of snow.
It's been snowing all day and the deck is full of birds at both feeders and the suet holder.  The January knitted socks are complete and the first one of the February pair, almost done.  Only one week left to make the second one which may not happen by the end of the month.
Hoping you are staying warm this weekend wherever you are.
